- Life expectancy continues to improve
- On time graduation rates has continuously increased over the past decade
- High school completion remains very high
- The poverty rate for children has steadily decreased
- Alcohol consumption for both adults and youth has decreased over time
- Mason County is ranked among the least healthy counties in the state. Since the last CHA, we have become more unhealthy
- The rate of premature death has increased
- Access to healthcare is a huge barrier in the county and many residents must find healthcare outside of the county
- Drug overdose deaths have sharply increased
- Food insecurity rates remain higher than those of the state
- Teen birth rates in the county are double the rates of the state
